In the fast-paced, hyper-competitive Bay Area, it can be challenging to balance all of the roles that we assume. Work, school, money, technology, and relationship stressors can leave us feeling depleted. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and career dissatisfaction are some of the ways stressors may manifest. As a therapist with experience in workplace dynamics and relationships, I appreciate the unique dilemmas and pressures that women face today. Areas of expertise include professional women, life transitions, college/grad students, and young women (15-18). Some issues I treat include anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, perfectionism, and work.
I implement evidenced-based psychotherapy (including CBT and DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy depending on the client. As a former biotechnology executive, I bring well-honed analytic and communication skills to my work, as well as an appreciation for the complexities of workplace dynamics.
