Jen Snider, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Chapel Hill
I have been passionate about meeting people in the real world struggles of everyday life for nearly 20 years. I founded Grow Well as a resource for lifestyle change grounded in mindfulness, self-kindness and compassion, and non-dieting approaches healthy eating. Health and lifestyle change efforts can expose inner struggles worthy of care and attention. Experiences like shame, overwhelm, depression, anxiety, and using food or other substances to cope can naturally arise in any of us.
I use a client-centered, mindfulness-based approach to help you meet the challenges of everyday life while while working to alleviate current suffering and old pain. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with individuals and groups toward greater wellbeing.
In addition to individual psychotherapy, we offer coaching, nutrition jumpstarts and supportive group experiences including our Roots of Wellness program, aiming at resilient and sustainable health and lifestyle change, and Our Simple Plate, a program to aid in building a new relationship with food.
