I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients. I see my role as helping people identify self-limiting beliefs, emotional blocks and other barriers that keep them from leading lives consistent with their authentic selves and their values. I combine theoretical and psychological insights with more pragmatic skills training (relaxation, conflict-resolution, communication skills). I have an active, direct counseling style that combines genuine empathic listening with therapeutic challenges.
I see individuals ages 12 years and older. My particular focus and experience is in anxiety disorders, depression, stress-management, trauma, relationship issues, parenting concerns and women's issues including postpartum issues . Evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, and TFCBT, mindfulness-based therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I have a holistic perspective on mental health, a comprehensive understanding of wellness: mental, physical and spiritual aspects of a person. I have experience and interest in alternative medicine, yoga and meditation. I offer telehealth services or live video sessions.
