Russell Kauitzsch, MS, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor in Austin
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and groups. My areas of greatest experience include trauma, crisis, sexual abuse/assault, grief and loss, LGBTQQI, gender identity, marriage/couples, Military, Police and other first responders, and general counseling needs as well. If you are looking to heal, grow and/or make a change, counseling is a great way to do that; to find or restore balance, peace, calm, well-being, and overall happiness. I love the work I do and I believe in the power of a healthy therapeutic relationship. I am dedicated to helping you reach your counseling goals.
I started working in the helping professions in 1999. My experience includes childhood trauma, incident trauma, sex crimes, violent crimes, suicides, grief and loss, coming out, gender transition/reassignment, anxiety, loss of a child, relationship issues, parenting issues, first responder stressors, military deployment/return, premarital counseling, divorce, anxiety, and more!
I am trained in EMDR to better treat trauma and I have vast experience in trauma treatment. I will continue to learn and grow in the field of trauma as well. You are not alone and you do not have to do this work alone. I'm here to help!
