I specialize in helping couples to de-escalate cycles of arguing and to work together to strengthen their bond. I use a model of therapy called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I have witnessed the effectiveness of this type of couples counseling over the past 10 years. It works!...Even when a couple is experiencing a high level of distress, as when they have talked about divorce or when infidelity occurred. EFT also works for couples who just want help making things better. I offer individual counseling for men to help address a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges.

Sessions with me will be an opportunity to try something different. I don't give a lot of advice, rather I try to choregraph sessions to help you and your partner work together in new ways. In individual counseling I assist clients with using mindfulness and taking achievable actions in their lives to be engaged in ways that they find meaningful.

It is within our closest relationships that needs for being loved, receiving comfort, security, and companionship are met. Helping couples, individuals, and families to strengthen their connection to each other has proven to me that the power of close relationships, including adult romantic love and marriage, can heal even deep emotional wounds.
