Studio art therapy provides an accepting space for flexible self-expression that moves beyond words into the sensory and tangible world. I focus on helping clients connect their unconscious and conscious minds to align around personal and relationship goals in fresh, creative ways. Together we can enter a space where safety and exploration are bridged, and issues of mood, anxiety, and past trauma can be safely and effectively worked through to improve overall functioning through mind-body integration.
As a board-certified registered art therapist and counselor utilizing EMDR, DBT, and trauma-informed mindfulness, I bring over 10 years of clinical experience to the holistic treatment of mental health. Together, our creative partnership provides a secure and supportive connection in which to experience solace, find joy, and regulate diverse emotions.
I practice a unique blend of approaches helps clients of all ages and creative backgrounds to safely explore their internal worlds, connect with their innate creative capacities for growth and resilience, and make meaningful change happen. A certified therapy dog brings an additional element of warm acceptance and non-verbal companionship to the work.
