I believe that therapy is an incredibly powerful resource to build self-love and love within your community. My aim as a therapist is to aid my clients in finding their own truths and reflect back their own power. I have found that you are the expert on yourself. I can offer strategies to improve quality of life by decreasing anxiety, depression, and accessing a truer sense of self.
I work with individuals navigating identity development, sexuality, challenges managing mood and releasing histories of trauma. I utilize talk therapy and trauma-focused interventions to support my clients in moving through difficult emotions to develop new ways of thriving.
I specialize in a somatic treatment modality called TRE (Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Exercise) which is an invaluable compliment or replacement for talk therapy. More information on TRE can be found here: http://traumaprevention.com/what-is-tre/.
