The pandemic has challenged our connection to those we love, to finding and sustaining new friendships, to our sense of belonging. For some of us, depression and anxiety are affecting us as never before. How can we get our needs met during this time of uncertainty? I believe that together we can make a plan to live our best possible life, keeping hope in our hearts, connecting with our loved ones, adapting and adjusting to this new world.
In the past 20 years, I have worked with folks whose lives were unstable due to illness, loss, trauma or the disappearance of hope . They have taught me how to use evidence-based therapies coupled with listening carefully to their own personal stories so that true healing can take place. Honoring our stories teaches us to honor ourselves and others.
As a former television writer (I wrote the original Jeopardy!), I know the importance of people's stories. Your life story needs to be heard. I will do just that as well as encourage you to make the changes to your story that you feel need to be made in order to move forward. There are many ways to create change. I am open to exploring them with you.
