Pamela is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona who works with adult women between the ages of 25 and up. Many of Pamela’s clients come in to address challenges in their life including, anxiety, depression, relationships, codependency, boundaries, life stressors, recent or past trauma, and grief. Pamela is particularly passionate about working with mothers of all ages and those who have experienced any form of perinatal or postnatal trauma. As a mother who has experienced differing perinatal and postnatal traumas, Pamela brings an in depth knowledge and empathy to her therapeutic work with clients.
Pamela is trained in a variety of approaches including CBT, CPT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Strength Based Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C certification in progress).
Pamela strives to be empathetic, non-judgmental, and caring during the therapeutic process. Pamela will work collaboratively with clients to create goals that work for them. When clients first start therapy, Pamela will establish a strong working relationship where clients can feel safe, heard, and understood.
