Robert J. Wingfield, PhD, LP, Psychologist in Washington
Aggression, anger management, tantrums, self-harm, anxiety, phobias, excessive worry, hyperactivity, inattention, impulse control, defiance, depression, anxiety, school concerns, weight management, obesity prevention, sleep or toileting problems - when your child exhibits these or other problems, your entire family is affected. I offer services to male and females of all ages, up to age 22, who have emotional or behavioral problems. I provide evidence-based parent training, psychological testing, behavioral assessments, and community training and education on behavioral health issues. I collaborate with pediatricians, teachers, and other adult caregivers to ensure a continuity of service and care.
After completing doctoral training at the University of Florida, I completed a pre-doctoral residency at Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Omaha, Nebraska. I then completed training in behavioral psychology as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
My hybrid background in clinical and school psychology helps me work effectively with families who enter treatment with a wide range of concerns that have an impact on home life, community settings, and school performance. Treatment may include: Behavioral Assessments, Psychological Evaluation, Counseling and Care, Family, Group or Individual Therapy.
