Joanne Gerr, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in New York
How many times have you said to yourself, "I've got to stop doing this"? And then you do it again. I know because I've worked with hundreds of people, individually and in groups, who have said the same thing. But together we have found a way to get them unstuck and onto a path of increased self-esteem and happiness. Whether the issue is putting unhealthy food in your body or not effectively communicating, I'm here to help you identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck so that you can take charge of your life.
I help with depression/anxiety, addiction, couples, & career issues. Together we find solutions to ensure you a healthy, balanced lifestyle as well as satisfying relationships at home and at work. My background is in a variety of therapeutic modalities but I focus on what works to meet your goals.
Every person is unique, and my strength is getting to know you individually and helping you develop a strategy that is tailored to your needs and learning style. Feel free to contact me so that together we can get you on the path to a fulfilling and satisfying life.

Joanne Gerr's Groups

Eating Disorder Groups

My Groups have 5 members in which each person works weekly on concerns related to food, body image or other issues in their lives. These Groups are supportive and empowering. My Groups have successfully helped many people attain a permanent resolution of their struggles with food and their body, as well as helped them achieve successful relationships in their lives. I have taught other psychotherapists how to run successful eating disorder groups at many national conferences. I also run groups in New Jersey. Please call 732-247-5112 for details.
