Are you wanting to feel different, think differently or have different relationships? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps you feel better faster. You might be wanting to heal from trauma, or improve your performance, strengthen your connection to others, or lead in healthier ways. I am EMDR Certified and an EMDR Consultant. To support EMDR therapy I also use attachment theory, ego state and parts work and include HeartMath, a science-based biofeedback in treatment. As we work together, the work integrates helping calm the nervous system to provide more integration and improve overall health and wellness.
EMDR Individual therapy and intensive treatment work with the body's natural way of healing, which can be blocked at times, to rewire memory networks and desensitize disturbing memories, feelings, body sensations. During the treatment, as the pain is taken away and the body releases stored trauma, the mind takes on new beliefs, rewiring your brain.
I believe in working together to create a safe, judgement free space in the therapeutic setting that is both relational and clinical. With over 20 years' experience working as a therapist, I have worked in community mental health, private practice and supervising graduate students during their practicum work. I offer individual EMDR sessions and Intensives.
