Life can be filled with frustrations, pain, and trials beyond our expectations. These can impair our ability to live positive and productive lives, or have positive successful relationships. It is my goal to assist those dealing with such issues to work through them, move beyond, and find a happier and more comfortable place to begin to put their lives on the path they most desire. To enable them to find comfort and control in a world that may cause them to feel like they are being tossed around at the whim of the next wind or next wave.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, I help individuals move away from negative thought patterns that lead to unwanted negative feelings, help empower them to overcome inappropriate responses to those feelings that cause ongoing problems in their lives and relationships, and find the answers and directions they seek, to over come and move beyond.
It's extremely important that my clients and I are able to build and maintain a genuine, trusting, positive relationship in order for therapy to work. With that in mind, I can't FIX anyone. I am here to help my clients overcome and improve their lives in ways that are important to them. Honesty is paramount. My style is not for everyone. The shoe must fit.
