Do you ever feel stuck, as if there are barriers in life that you just can't seem to overcome? Sometimes it can feel like there are endless roadblocks, whether that be navigating difficulties in our daily routines, moving through big life transitions, or the same overwhelming thoughts and feelings coming up again and again. These feelings can impact our ability to have meaningful relationships, and it can be difficult to identify the source of the struggle or understand why it feels this way, especially when we are feeling overwhelmed and are trying to work through it alone.

Now Accepting New Clients! Are you allowing fear to shape your decisions, leaving you feeling trapped and uncertain? It's okay to feel hesitant, but deep down, you know you're capable of more. Yet, those nagging doubts - "You might fail! You may upset people!" - seem to grow louder, making it hard to break free from their grip. As a result, you find yourself playing it safe, feeling unhappy, and overly critical of yourself.

Throughout our life we have developed strategies to handle upheaval, loss, and struggle. These strategies, though well practiced, may no longer be serving us. Bronwyn offers a safe space to unpack historical experiences and present-day triggers. She encourages curiosity and self-awareness. She pulls from Hakomi, mindfulness, and neurobiology to tend to emotions, identify & adapt unhelpful thinking and behavior, and regulate the nervous system. Bronwyn's approach builds resiliency, offers new strategies in managing daily stressors/anxieties, helps respond to somatic (physical) symptoms, and nurtures your inner voice.

I am currently serving clients virtually in Colorado and Florida. Whether you're ready to jump in or you're just exploring if therapy is a good fit for you, I'm here to walk next to you on your journey. Therapy is about helping you, the client, be the best version of who you want to be, at whatever stage you’re in. We work together to help you identify and choose what you want and need in your life, and empower you to work through the things that are preventing you from being there. “The things” could be anything causing difficulty for you or keeping you "stuck". I can help you see beyond what has been or what is, to what can be.

I have built a career on empowering, counseling, and educating women around their reproductive, hormonal, and sexual health. You need someone in your corner to support you, remind you of your innate strength, validate your struggle, speak with radical honesty, and help you restore your life. I promise to guide you through this process in a safe, laid back and non-judgmental atmosphere. We will work together on setting goals and I will provide you with practical and helpful tools to utilize outside of therapy. I believe everyone I work with has a valuable set of experiences and perspectives that are key to their own healing.

You are a woman who has been devastated by pregnancy loss, pregnancy termination due to medical reasons, or infant death, and you are ready to talk to someone who truly understands how sad and alone you feel. You are grieving your sweet baby and just want someone who can listen without judging or telling you that “everything happens for a reason.” You feel heartbroken, ashamed, and angry. Your world has stopped while everyone else’s has moved along. If you see one more pregnancy announcement, gender reveal, or birth announcement on social media you might lose it.

The traumas of the past, stress, anxiety, continually weigh on you. You just can’t seem to find peace of mind. Maybe you find yourself growing more and more irritable; or just feel a persistent sense of unease is always with you, as if the traumas of the past haven’t ended. Or maybe you always feel exhausted, depleted, without the energy to engage in life. Overall, the stress, and the worry seem to be constant, and you don’t know what to do.

Not accepting new clients
Unable to accept new clients at this time. I excel in assisting clients with conflict, relationship issues, communication, life stressors, transitions, couples counseling, premarital counseling, and substance abuse. I incorporate the well-known Gottman method into my work, which not only benefits couples, but individuals through a special couples lens that not all therapists can provide. My background working with psychiatric crisis services allows me to gently approach the most challenging situations you bring.

Finding the right words at the right time in relationships is tricky. Sometimes in the middle of an argument, when it matters most, words just aren’t there or they come out all wrong. You may find yourself freezing in panic or fleeing to the other room to prevent saying something you don’t mean. Sometimes, the fear of repeating past experiences paralyzes and it’s really hard to imagine ever getting past those memories. Whether you’re looking for couples therapy or individual therapy, you’re in the right place!

Is anxiety keeping you from living your life? Do you feel like that physical feelings like pain, exhaustion, and tension make it difficult to make changes? If you're struggling with daily and consuming anxiety, therapy can be a great next step. I work with my clients so that we can find tangible ways to cope with anxiety while also looking triggers and/or root causes.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one built on trust, empathy, and an understanding of the clients goals. Everyone has the power within themselves to discover and become the person they are truly meant to be. I gravitate toward a person-centered existential-humanistic approach. I work with my clients to help them reconnect with their most authentic self, find balance in their lives, and discover their higher purpose and calling.

I am an easy-going person who uses a lot of humor in session. I have a big dog in my office most of the time, who is a trained and certified therapy dog. My ideal client is someone who is motivated to improve their life and is in it for the long haul. A lot of my clients are struggling to figure out who they are or why they're struggling so much and I encourage people to give themselves permission to not have it all figured out. I try my best to make therapy enjoyable but don't get me wrong; you will definitely grow in the process. I have a team of therapists in my practice so regardless of what you're looking for we've got you.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in Denver?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
