Best suited to adults who have completed an addiction treatment program, are motivated to maintain treatment goals, and are willing to make lifestyle changes that support their well-being and recovery. Eight weekly 90-minute sessions, plus a day-long retreat.
Combines cognitive therapy principles with meditative practices to help prevent depression from returning. Developed by Drs Zindel Segal, Mark Williams, and John Teasdale, MBCT has been clinically proven to be as effective as medication in preventing relapses of depression, as well as relieving the severity of symptoms in anxiety disorders and bipolar disorder. Best suited to adults who are not acutely depressed. Eight weekly 2-hour sessions, plus a day-long retreat.
