Sarah Godoy, PhD, Psychologist in Washington
Welcome! Are you looking to make changes in your life? Does it feel like something is missing? Would you like a supportive space to get help? I might be the therapist for you. Through genuine acceptance and ongoing collaboration, I help my clients examine their past patterns to understand how they have come to be the person they are now. If something is impeding them from achieving the fulfillment they want and deserve, I also offer concrete ways that can help them obtain those goals.
Given my extensive experience working with college/graduate students, individuals with eating disorders, LGBTQ+ young adults, and trauma survivors, I have a specialized understanding of these groups/concerns. More broadly, I enjoy working with adults and older adolescents around a variety of issues, such as stress management, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or adjustment troubles.
Deciding to pursue therapy is a brave step. I welcome you to contact me to see if we are a good fit to work together. My office is metro-accessible, and I offer morning and evening hours. My practice is a safe space and affirming of diverse identities.
