Renee Michaels Ph.D, PhD, LCSW, CAP, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Clearwater
Is anxiety keeping you from living the life you deserve? Is stress affecting you at work or school? Do you get irritable when you are stressed? Is fear driving you to use alcohol to cope? Do you experience panic or emotional dysregulation? I will teach you how your brain protects you in so-called scary situations and sabotages the success and abundance you want. Together, we will develop an individualized plan to set you on a path to healing with a pocket full of tools to master success!
Cognitive Therapy and Mindful-Based Stress Reduction may be two key components in your recovery success. You may also be helped by adding DBT, and find it to enhance your ability to manage reactivity and self-harming behaviors. I also work with couples who experience infidelity due to an affair or sexual addiction.
Your path begins in a home away from home; comfortable, calm and safe-setting where there are NO mental health signs. Join me in a cup of tea or mug of fresh brew while we work together on creating a life worth living.

Renee Michaels Ph.D's Groups

DBT Skills for Adults

This DBT group is specifically for women who deal with depression/anxiety and high emotional arousal, and can be easily triggered into an uncomfortable mood state and may have a history of self-harm or suicidal behaviors. Members must be in individual therapy while going through group. Members will also have phone access to therapist weekly as needed. We limit the group to 8 people so there is plenty of individual treatment time. Call for an assessment to see if you are a good fit for this type of group.
