I believe that clients have the ability to recognize dysfunctional patterns in their lives and, with a little help from the counselor, are able to set attainable goals to change those patterns into something more functional for their lives. I have spent the last 7 and a half years counseling survivors of family violence which allowed me to specialize in treating Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depression, Substance Abuse, and Generalized Anxiety.
