Peg Shippert, MA, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor in Boulder
When you or someone you love has been through a horrible experience, your whole life can be turned upside down. As a licensed professional counselor and trauma therapist, I have the education, experience, and passion to help you recover. Through multiple trainings with trauma experts, I've learned proven approaches for helping you put the past behind you so you can move forward. I would love to help you understand how you've been affected by your experiences, and learn to feel in control and at peace. You don't have to figure this out by yourself.
Sexual assault, sexual harassment, and related experiences often break us down and make us feel invisible. Call me at 720-340-6261 for a free consultation to learn how I can help you move from feeling broken and voiceless to feeling whole, empowered and fully alive.
If you like, our work can involve my well-trained, registered professional therapy dog, Nova. Many people feel safer and more comfortable with a friendly dog present. Call me at 720-340-6261 for a free consultation or visit pegshippert.com to learn more about how we can work together.

Peg Shippert's Groups

Group for Teen Survivors of Rape

For teen, female survivors of sexual assault. This group will meet on Fridays, January 6 to March 13, 2017. We will set the agenda together. Usually it includes: managing feelings of fear, powerlessness and anger, dealing with school, family, and friends, coming to terms with blame from self and others, what responses are normal, and more. The group will be small (4 to 6 members), and will meet in my cozy, private therapy office. My professional therapy dog will attend our sessions to help us laugh, connect, and relax.
