Ina T Bawaya, LCSW, MFA, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Albuquerque
If you are hurting, I can help. I don't believe life is about suffering. Sometimes beauty and joy get lost in the stress of day to day life. And when illness or despair make things harder, it can feel as though you have lost touch with your purpose. Call me, and together we will make a plan to clarify your goals and reclaim the kind of life you deserve. I will walk by your side.
I am a clinical social worker, poet and teacher. I have more than 25 years' experience working in health care, especially cancer care. I enjoy helping people navigate difficult times in life through learning simple coping skills and self love. I practice client-centered therapy, customizing treatment to individual needs in consultation with the client.
Mindfulness, creative visualization and guided imagery are modalities I like to use. Cognitive behavioral therapy is helpful in anxiety, depression and insomnia. In general, the therapeutic bond I create with the client is powerful in promoting psychic healing and acceptance. Often, getting back in touch with one's creativity is healing.
