Amy Kim, PsyD, Psychologist in Los Angeles
You may be wondering how to go about finding a therapist. I tell people that you should feel good with the person, and by that I mean, "Do you feel respected, heard and understood by that person?" and "Do you trust that that person can help you?" I invite you to meet with me to find out if I am the right fit for you. My work integrates psychodynamic, CBT and mindfulness approaches, and I select interventions based on what will help you the most.
I treat anxiety, depression, and identity (career, cultural, sexual) and relationship issues (peers, intimates, family). I also specialize in body image struggles and disordered eating and exercise. Finally, I can work with people from a deeply spiritual perspective. The core of my work is in helping people live more authentically and with purpose and meaning.
Conveniently located in West L.A. next to the 405 and 10 freeways, my office is accessible from Downtown, Hollywood, the Valley and the South Bay. I strongly believe that everyone should have access to high-quality therapy and slide my fee based on one's needs. I also provide superbills for reimbursement from insurance.
