Greg Matos, PsyD, Psychologist in Jamaica Plain
Our careers, our relationships, and our families provide an unlimited number of challenges to overcome. Although it may not seem like it all the time, I believe we have the basic building blocks to push past our challenges and reach our fullest potential. Why? I've seen clients emerge from really difficult moods, relationships, and trauma to become high functioning, wonderful human beings. I love to work with clients who really want to change and are looking for a psychologist to help facilitate that change and recovery.
My therapy style is great for individuals needing to get over the initial hump of tackling their challenges. I specialize in treating individuals in high stress, high performance environments (e.g. business professionals, lawyers, veterans). I have extensive experience treating public speaking anxiety, panic, phobias, and PTSD.
In addition to individual work, I specialize in dynamic couple's therapy based on cognitive behavioral principles and concrete, measurable goals. I'm focused on transparent, clear, and compassionate care that empowers couples to enhance their relationships.
