Ani Khatchadourian, PsyD, Psychologist in Pasadena
Are you concerned that your child or teen may have ADHD, dyslexia, or autism? Did your child recently have a concussion and is now struggling with paying attention, memory, and keeping up at school? Do they need accommodations such as extended time for the SAT, ACT, or other high stakes tests? If so, your child would benefit from a neuropsychological evaluation, which can help you better understand how they learn best, the likely neurodevelopmental, medical, or psychological explanations to your concerns, and what types of educational and treatment plans would capitalize on your child's strengths and improve their difficulties.
I also provide cognitive training in executive functions, or "executive skills coaching." I work with students to teach them organization, time management, planning, and study strategies to optimize their learning. As a neuropsychologist, I use my knowledge of each student's unique cognitive profile to individualize strategies and ensure success.
With specialized training in both clinical neuropsychology (assessment) and cognitive training and behavior management (interventions), I am able to provide evidence-based and integrative services to help your child achieve their full potential. My practice is based on positive psychology, which emphasizes one's strengths and not just their difficulties.
