I have worked in the fields of psychology, education, and sociology for over 20 years. I've seen a lot in that time - from couples in crisis to veterans struggling with trauma to seniors facing grief, loss, and aging issues. I also have experience assisting youth and families involved with CPS, foster care, and the juvenile justice system.
Couples counseling is my passion. I am co-author with Gina Guddat of the new relationship self-help book, Love Metabolism, which is available on Amazon.com. I have also carved out a niche for myself with military veterans. I'm equally comfortable and effective with individual adults and families.
I'm generally good at reading my clients and getting to the underlying issues quickly. I have a relaxed, directive, and conversational style.
