I grew up in the Opelika/Auburn area before earning my Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in 2009. I completed a predoctoral internship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC. Following my internship I completed fellowships with the TEACCH Autism Program at the University of North Carolina and the University of Alabama Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic.
I work with preschoolers, children, adolescents, and families with a variety of presenting problems, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Behavior Problems, and Adjustment Problems. I also provide services to adults with developmental disabilities, including ASD, and their families.
My evidence-based treatment approach to intervention is most often cognitive-behavioral, but treatment strategies are individualized, taking into account each client's developmental level and personal strengths and weaknesses. I also provide psychological evaluations, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Intelligence/Achievement Testing.
