Amy Fry, MS, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Ann Arbor
As a marriage and family therapist, I truly value the importance of the therapist-client relationship and strive to make my clients feel safe and comfortable in therapy. I integrate many different treatment approaches into my work, and have experience treating children/adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I believe that each client is unique, and that understanding and insight are the keys to change and growth. Using a sense of humor and a gentle approach, I work together with my clients to help bring about healing, change in behavior, and a new perspective.
I work with couples and individuals on improving communication and empathy, changing unhealthy patterns, and healing from past pain and traumatic experiences. I also enjoy working with families on strengthening the parent-child/teen relationship, attachment/adoption issues, and finding new ways to manage difficult behaviors.
I practice out of an adoption agency with colleagues who are all skilled in treating issues related to adoption, attachment, trauma, and family dynamics. Our agency is LGBTQ-friendly and welcomes all individuals, couples, and families. We work as a team to deliver the best possible service to our clients.
