Kristi DuCote, MA, LPC-I, LPC Intern in Richardson
If you are battling depression, anxiety, self-esteem or addiction issues, I can help. I believe that most of us can benefit from professional counseling while navigating through the stresses of our modern society. I offer an eclectic approach to therapy and love to mix proven evidence based theories like CBT with existential approaches. Everyone has a purpose in life and helping people discover their purpose or plan to fulfill their purpose is so rewarding. I can help you discover which coping skills work best for you, build self-esteem and gain self-confidence which you will utilize between sessions.
I am a post-graduate, therapist intern supervised by Vicki Moody. I earned my Master's in Professional Counseling from Amberton University (4.0-GPA) and my Bachelor's in Psychology from UNT. I have experience working with adults and adolescents in psychiatric hospitals and women in a residential substance abuse facility.
A supportive, trusting relationship with a therapist is essential; and a sense of humor doesn't hurt. I strive to meet clients where they are and assist them in developing a treatment plan that will work for them. I really enjoy helping people discover their strengths and develop resiliency.
