Jody Kemmerer, LMSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in New York
I am here to help you develop a clearer and kinder relationship with yourself. I use simple, interactive approaches to assist you towards building your strengths and activating your wise mind. I bring to our work expertise in how to effectively manage anxiety, depression and other painful emotions. We work together to attain the change you desire. My 15 years experience as a practitioner of meditation, has given me a compassionate presence and a deep understanding of what often blocks us from accessing our talents and resilience. I am firm believer in everyone's innate capacity to heal.
I am intensively trained in the evidence-based treatment of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through Behavioral Tech. I offer adherent DBT through a group practice. I am also trained in AEDP, an attachment-based therapy that focuses on emotion processing and transformational change. I enjoy working with adults, and adolescents.
My priority is to meet the individual needs of my clients. I offer flexible scheduling, pricing, and communication by phone coaching, email and text. Whenever possible I privilege creativity and fun. It is my honor to be a part of the healing process with you.
