Seeking counseling is one of the bravest acts one can perform. You've taken the first step to transforming your life. Therapy will support you to identify ways of managing symptoms, develop coping skills to over come obstacles, as well as promote insight and self awareness. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that is passionate about helping others over come distress and dissatisfaction in their lives. One of the most important components to therapy is the therapeutic alliance. The therapist-client relationship creates a space for clients to openly work through problems that impair functioning.
As a culturally competent counselor, I practice from a person-centered therapeutic approach in order to immediately address unique barriers to happy living. As a cultural competent clinician, I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Gesalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Harm Reduction Therapy techniques.
I provide counseling services to individuals, couples, adolescents, and families. My personal and professional experiences have prepared me to provide culturally sensitive care to all individuals. In a therapeutic setting, I have worked with and understand various communities from different races, sex, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, cultures, and economic classes.
