Julie Sihilling, LGSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Minneapolis
Thank you for choosing my profile to visit. Just your looking is an important first step. Psychotherapy is a powerful tool in helping you feel better. I'm committed to creating a safe and nurturing space in which to reduce symptoms and achieve personal insight. Through the therapeutic relationship we uncover negative patterns. By understanding these unhelpful patterns, we can then address them so that you can lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Prior to entering the field of social work, I worked in theatre as an actor. That work informs my practice as a therapist. Feeling fully is essential to both creative work and the therapeutic process. I understand the pressures, drives, and imagination involved in creative endeavors.
I am excited by the immediate and collaborative nature of psychodynamic therapy. I believe in psychotherapy's power to treat anxiety and depression. Because I do not work with insurance companies, I offer services for a cash fee of $85.
