I work with individuals and couples. While my specialization and license are in the area of couple therapy, I believe strongly that individual work is what leads to harmony in relationships. Childhood trauma is one of my important areas of focus in sessions, so as to help clients remove psychological blocks. My desire is to create a space where each person can reach for his/her highest growth potential. Couples often seek therapy when their relationship is on its last leg, hoping that I might have "the magic wand". It is when both partners are invested in self-growth that therapy works its magic to help create a stronger couple.
I try to go beyond what is being said in a session. My job is to hear the unspoken so as to push through masks, rigidity and resistance in order to create trust and safety of being. My clients find me a good listener, empathetic, caring as well as open to challenging behavioral patterns which may be redundant.
