Coping with all of the confusing thoughts, emotions and behaviors can be difficult. Depression, anxiety, and other emotional disturbances can set in, causing disruptions at work, school, and home. At Mansfield Counseling, we aim at helping clients feel heard, understood and whole again. Each individual is unique, thus requiring individualized treatment. A combination of different modalities are used to help meet the needs of each individual.
I have extensive experience working with adults who have endured trauma. I also have experience working with adults who have struggled with depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse and other severe mental illnesses. I also provide psychological testing for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning disorders in kids, teens and adults.
Memories, including sensations & emotions, can be stored in the brain without being processed properly. This causes the memories to be triggered easily and anxiety is activated. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is used to process & treat PTSD, trauma, anxiety and a multitude of other issues.
