Bonnie Jean Healey, LCSW, CADC, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Devon
I have over a decade of experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, families, young adults, and adults, serving both mental health and substance abuse concerns. While not working in private practice, my other role is as a Medical Service Corps officer in the Army Reserve where I focus on substance abuse prevention, assessment, and intervention in the military. I have advanced training in trauma-focused CBT and dialectical behavior therapy. I have given presentations about trauma, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, grief, anger and stress management and substance abuse concerns in the community to adults, adolescents and families.
I enjoy serving people who have difficulty overcoming substance abuse as well as their caregivers and families who are in need of support as well.
I specialize in serving military members, families and veterans who may be facing service-connected stressors such as deployment/reintegration, traumatic injury, suicidal ideation and military sexual trauma. I have performed my military duties both within and outside of the country, giving me a unique perspective on many cultures.
