Katherine Cooke is not currently accepting new clients.
Making that first phone call to a therapist is hard. However, deciding to seek treatment for a mental health concern is a positive step toward improving emotional health and overall quality of life. It is my belief that the alliance between therapist and client is the most important part of therapy and, to that end, I work to create a safe and warm environment. My focus is on exploring past experiences, revealing how these early occurrences continue to impact daily life, interpersonal relationships, and decision making abilities. I believe that through understanding our past, we can create a healthier future.
I have worked extensively with survivors of trauma. Other areas of clinical interest include working with clients struggling with eating disorders, postpartum mood disorders, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety.
I believe wholeheartedly in the transformative power of psychotherapy. I am invested in the health and well-being of my clients and approach therapy as a collaborative endeavor.
