Jennifer Szabo, MS, Pre-Licensed Professional in Chandler
I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients who are interested in regaining control of their life. When you enter counseling you will be welcomed into a non-judgmental space which will allow you to explore the possible source of your presenting issue and ways you can enhance your well-being. My goal is to provide you with the necessary tools to help you cope with life's issues. I feel very confident working with clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, challenges with self-esteem, mental illness, personality disorders, relationship issues, loss and trauma.
I use an integrative approach to help maximize the benefits of therapy. This includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Creative Expressions, Solution-focused Therapy or DBT. In addition, I have over five years experience working in a school setting providing social services to adolescents and their families.
I connect well with young adults, adults and the older population as they are transitioning through life's stages. Email me or contact our office to request an appointment and be sure to mention my name. I am looking forward to helping you begin this journey.

Jennifer Szabo's Groups

DBT - Emotional Balance-Adults and Adolescents

All 3 locations offer the DBT group (Chandler, Scottsdale, Glendale). DBT is a very helpful approach to helping us maintain balance in our emotions, mood, and relationships. The core pieces of DBT are distress tolerance, acceptance, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. Life is filled with challenges and often times we get a bit out of sync. DBT can help us get back in sync and improve how we feel. My colleagues facilitate the groups. Monday is in Scottsdale and Tuesday is in Chandler and Glendale for adults. Monday in Chandler, Tuesday in Scottsdale, and Friday in Glendale for adolescents.

Women's Group - Trauma, Abuse & Support

Trauma and abuse come from many places. Broken hearts, neglectful people in our lives, significant injury/illness, as well as all types of abuse can leave us with many uncomfortable feelings. We need support. We need nurture. We need to feel connected. This is a group for women to grow, to share, to connect, to support, to nurture, and to heal. Join this group and begin the discovery into you and all that you are able to be.
