I specialize in treating clients with clinical depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Past trauma often does not remain in the past, but too often spills over into the present. While cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches are valuable tools for change, I recognize the profound impact of relational dynamics on my clients’ mental health.
In other words, emotional wounds and unhelpful behaviors and beliefs occur in relationship, which is why healing also needs to occur in relationship. This is precisely what counseling and psychotherapy are about and why they can be so vital to your healing and growth. And this is why I work from an integrative, attachment-focused, psychodynamic perspective.
I don't provide "cookie-cutter" therapy. Through the healing relationship we create, you can learn to transform any thoughts, beliefs, or behaviors that are keeping you from achieving your goals. Our relationships are what give life meaning and joy. If you're ready to make yours the best they can be, please contact me today!
