For over 10 years I have provided behavioral support and interventions to children, youth and families to help parents manage social/emotional difficulties and increase engagement.
I use calming techniques and behavior modification to help understand the inner emotional struggles of children and youth. I also create educational videos on trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, racial identity and experienced community violence. I am a facilitator of Emotional Emancipation Circles which help African Americans heal from the lies of white superiority and black inferiority. My work centers on teaching the tools needed for emotional healing, by reframing the way in which families see their challenges, reestablishing a sense of balance and connection.
