Overwhelmed with life, experiencing grief or loss, feeling down or anxious? Or you may be a partner of someone struggling with pornography or sex addiction, working to overcome the trauma of discovery, along with the betrayal and loss it brings. Perhaps you're having difficulty connecting with your significant other and want to learn good communication skills, and how to build a foundation of friendship, trust and commitment? I provide a safe space where you will feel listened to and cared for: I enjoy introducing hope and helping you to move towards the life you want to live.
As a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist candidate I utilize the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (M-PTM). This model does not label partners of those struggling with sex addiction as co-dependent, but pictures them as people who are experiencing trauma from events outside their control.
I often use objective assessments -- PREPARE/ENRICH, SYMBIS, the Gottman Relationship Check-up, and others -- to tailor therapy to your unique needs. I utilize the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work. I also facilitate Making Sense of It All, an initial 8-week Support Group for Partners.
