As of November 2023, until further notice, I am not accepting new clients except for referrals to my Couples Group. I plan to provide an update in January 2024. I specialize in working with couples and persons with issues related to separation, divorce, and custody conflict situations. I have 35 years experience as a mental health professional, including 30 years with Orange County Department of Mental Health. I have Master's degrees from Penn State University and the State University of New York at Albany.
I help with communication issues of couples and issues separated parents have regarding custody and parenting, including communication with the other parent, positive parent-child relationships, and co-parenting approaches that will be in the best interests of their children. I prefer to work with both sides of a separated family, not just one.
Post-divorce family therapy helps parents adjust to their new situations and shift to a new type of relationship with each other. When a loving, intimate relationship turns into combative antagonism help is needed to move on and establish a co-parenting relationship in the best interests of the children.

For separated and divorced parents who are having difficulty co-parenting with the other parent. Emphasis is on learning from the experiences of other group members and doing what will be in the best interests of the children. Clients are required to commit to a minimum of four group sessions ($100 total for four sessions) that are paid for in advance, and new members are accepted into the group every four sessions. The group is online and on the first and third Mondays of the month.

For couples who are married or living together in a committed relationship, and having difficulties in their relationship due to conflict and communication problems. Emphasis will be on looking at communication and behavior patterns and receiving feedback from other group members. The relationship partners are required to commit to a minimum of four group sessions that are paid for in advance ($150 total per couple for the four sessions), and new couples are accepted into the group every four sessions. The group is online on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
