Are you having difficulty overcoming a problem, mood or behavior? If an issue is not relatively easy to change, then chances are, there is a block of some sort preventing the progression and flow of positive thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It is frustrating, discouraging and painful as an intelligent and competent person to work on a goal and not get the results you hope for.
While I treat a variety of personal and interpersonal issues, I have a special interest in helping individuals (and couples) heal from trauma and overall create more meaningful lives. My aim is to combine a warm, supportive presence with practical tools to promote change and growth.
I use an integrative model of psychotherapy, designing a treatment plan based on each person's unique history, personality and current goals. Mind-body techniques (such as EMDR) may be used to allow for more integration and balance between thoughts and feelings.
