Erika Pineros, MA, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Bonita Springs
Are you looking for a bilingual therapist? Is it important for you to have a therapist who has an understanding of how to integrate culture into treatment? I have a passion for working with Hispanic clients who are less likely to seek services. I also have an interest in working with women's issues such as trauma, self-esteem, body image, parenting, relationship issues, to name a few. I also have extensive experience working with adolescent issues such as peer pressure, bullying, dating, school pressures. In addition, I make it a priority to work on improving the parent-child relationship.
I have extensive experience working with women who have been in abusive relationships. The type of abuse may include physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse. As a bilingual therapist, I have worked with many Hispanic families and provide treatment that highlights the strengths of their Hispanic culture.
I use an empowerment model to help you as a client regain control of your life. I focus on strengths and resources to promote autonomy. My goal is to promote a safe and nurturing environment where you can feel at ease as you go through the therapeutic process.
