Thomas T Truss, PhD, PC, Psychologist in Baltimore
I am a licensed psychologist who has been in practice for over 34 years. My treatment emphasis is in Individual, Couple and Family Therapy with adolescents, young and older aged adults. My Post-Doctoral training in Psychoanalysis qualifies me to conduct analytically-oriented Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.I also use many other theoretical approaches if the problem requires it. In short,I do not restrict the treatment to only one type of tool in my professional toolbox. With my extensive experience, I am able to understand and treat a variety of everyday problems.
With my psychoanalytic training and experience, I am able to understand and treat psychological problems with a wealth of "practice," and have become skilled in helping people survive and grow beyond thier immediate personal problems. In contrast,I have also become accomplished in treating impulse control problems such as pathological gambling.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, I have served as both a Clincal Director and a supervisory psychologist. I have also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Loyola College as well as the Baltimore City Police Academy.
