Gila Schwartz, LCSW-R, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Hewlett
Every client who walks into my office is treated as a unique individual. I have studied many different modalities of therapy, therefore my method of treating a client is to take an eclectic approach. It depends upon the individual client and what their needs and goals are.
I believe that when you work with children or adolescents, you must also work with families. Every individual, at the end of sessions, returns to the same environment. Therefore, it is important to address certain family dynamics as well as issues for the individual. Additionally, I work with parents from a parent training perspective.
I have a true ability to connect with children and adolescents. They sense my desire to understand them. I have seen through 2 decades of working with children, adolescents, and families, I am aware that people start off with a need to be heard, understood, and a knowledge that they will not going be judged.
