Barbara Blitzer, MSW, LCSW-C, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Bethesda
I work with most issues that would bring a person to therapy including depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have special expertise in working with people who worry too much, who have low self esteem or who lack self confidence I believe this can be overcome. I integrate talk therapy with mind body, meditative, energy approaches (EFT, tapping therapy), and problem solving. I am an active, solution oriented therapist who believes that in addition to being listened to, people profit from learning specific techniques that will help them make the changes they want.
As we work together, I will listen deeply and respectfully. We will set goals and develop strategies to reach them. I will be active in helping you find ways to feel less worried, more confident, and more at peace.
I have decades of experience with meditation, and other mind/body practices which I have integrated with psychotherapy. I have experience that allows me to work with most issues as well as subspecialties in anxiety, infertility ,and couples therapy. I am author of The Infertility Workbook, A Mind-Body Program.........
