Lee Ockenden, MA, MFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Davis
Being a responsible partner to the changes that we need to occur in life is a difficult task. It requires time, focus, directness ,objectivity along with qualities that make us good humans...compassion, patience and love. It involves 'not knowing' exactly where is it we are headed, and commitment towards what we DO want and deserve. It requires acknowledging that we are, as smart as we may be, stuck. We often lack the compassion (because we've been hurt), objectivity (because we have needs) and the accountability needed to move us through what we innately require to heal and thrive.
I work collaboratively/respectfully with clients to foster empowerment and growth of the whole person. Discovering innate and often hidden strengths to create change from old recurring patterns to freedom and choice in their lives. I am especially adept in working with couples, trauma, anxiety, and phase of life issues.
