Whether distancing alone or with family, Covid 19 is making a serious impact on the mental and emotional wellbeing of millions of men, women and children. Many people are now experiencing acute anxiety, and PTSD. Those who were already dealing with mental health issues are at a very high risk of developing PTSD.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 30 years in many capacities. I have been in private practice for over 15 years and my focus has been using EMDR to treat anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, addiction and relationship issues. I have many advanced trainings in EMDR, as well as attachment, Ego State Therapy, IFS and DIssociation.
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing was originally used as a very successful treatment for Trauma and PTSD. EMDR has developed over the years and is used for depression, anxiety, panic, fears/aversions, intimacy problems, relationship issues, phobias, some OCD, and self esteem. I also treat dissociative identity disorder.
