I am specially trained to work with you from a systemic lens to help your identify resources that can be helpful. I believe you have within yourself and your life the resources to successfully make beneficial changes in your life. I utilize a variety of systemically based interventions to help invoke change in my clients. This incudes assigning homework to be completed before the next session.
As a systemically trained therapist, I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups in all phases of the family life cycle from launching your young adults and couple formation to death. This includes parenting, step-parenting, or co-parenting before/and or after divorce. I also work with directly children 6 years and up.
My doctoral research centered on father's grief after the death of a child. I have worked with clients who identify with a variety of sexual orientations. I have also worked with active duty and retired military service members and their families. I run two free bereavement support groups on a monthly basis.

Call me about the 2 bereavement Groups I run.
All groups are FREE. First Wednesday, Evenng Group meets from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 4201 Trancontinental Dr., Metairie, LA. The third (3rd). Morning Bereavement Group meets from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Archdiocese Retreat Center at 5500 Saint Mary Street, Metairie, LA. Please contact me at 505-606-9888 before attending. While these groups do meet at a church and a Catholic retreat center, the people of all faith, non-faith, or spiritual backgrounds are welcome. ALL GROUPS ARE CURRENTLY BEING CONDUCTED VIA TELEHEALTH. PLEASE CONTACT DR. COOLEY FOR FURTHER INFORMAITON.
