I'm an individual and family therapist, and substance use disorder counselor. I work with people experiencing substance use issues leading to difficulty anywhere in their family system. My education and 12 years' experience makes me uniquely able to support teens and adults as they recognize and manage the impact of their substance use on their world. Apart from SUD issues, I also support parents navigating a variety of life transitions and conflicts with their teen children, individuals with difficulty managing moods (depression, anxiety, anger, etc.), teen and young adult identity development, and families/individuals dealing with grief and loss.
10+ years in schools, courts, shelters, and outpatient clinics have taught me that SUDs & mental health issues often intersect in what are referred to as dual diagnosis, or co-occurring disorders. Understanding the intersection and intermingling of such issues and disorders is simply crucial to any good treatment plan.
The basics of working with me: we identify the best, healthiest changes we can imagine you making, collaborate on a plan for change, and work toward it together. Change doesn't often happen easily or quickly, but take heart! The slow steady work toward healthy change is my jam.

Teens in Grief and Recovery
Teens and young adults often crave but lack support and understanding when they are processing a death or major loss. This group is for those searching for others who speak their language--the language of grief, loss, and recovery in a world where too often we're told to "just move on."
