DeLee Lantz, PhD, Psychologist in San Francisco
People who come to me are often experiencing panic, anxiety, or phobias; physical symptoms or pain; depression or grief; cultural dislocation; major life transitions; or stage of life challenges. They want their lives to be less painful, more fulfilling. In collaboration with you, I provide methods and tools adapted to your particular concern. And I desire to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental relationship that doesn't lose sight of your strengths and your wholeness as we work with your problems. What may seem frightening or impossible to change alone, we can tranform together.
Some of the approaches I use are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, positive psychology and biofeedback (I'm certified in biofeedback at the Senior Fellow level). Often a combination of approaches is appropriate and together, we arrive at what works. For more information, see www.IPAsite.com/deleelantz/html
I've gone through most of the developmental stages my clients are going through and can understand them. Older clients recognize that I share many aspects of their history and know their concerns. Younger clients know I have a long-range perspective on their particular stage of life.
