Gwen Brehm, MEd, LPC, LMFT, Counselor in Houston
Is your anxiety keeping you from having peace in your life? Are your relationships suffering because of your mood? For over 20 years I have helped people make effective change in their lives with a variety of problems. I am best known for my skills in treating people who have difficult situations, feel out of control over their lives, and need more stability in their emotions and relationships. Being proactive in therapy I tend to have individuals do outside work to enhance the therapy process. Meditation and mindfulness groups are offered at our office to assist as well.
My approach to treatment is an integrative approach using Cognitive Behavioral therapy as well as Mindfulness based therapies. This approach tends to allow for greater and longer lasting change. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for BPD and Bipolar Disorder and I offer the transformational Mindful Self-Compassion Training in Clear Lake/Houston.
The Center for Mind Body Health takes extra measures to provide high quality care in a comfortable environment, while preserving the confidentiality of our patients. We have a network of psychiatrists and other professionals who provide expert care and consulting on a variety of issues and are available as needed.
